This course is intended to provide a broad overview of the many topics in psychology. This course focuses on the mental and neural mechanism of perception, emotion, learning, memory, cognition, development, personality, psychopathology, and social interaction. The goal of this course is to provide students with basic understanding of the major topics surrounding the mind and behavior. By integrating ideas from diverse perspectives, students are encouraged to relate psychological theories to issues in everyday life. Students will also learn to treat mental processes as an interaction between these various approaches.
